Vibrant Successfully Completes its First Double-Blind, Sham-Controlled Clinical Study
Vibrant has successfully completed its first randomized, double-blind, sham-controlled study, with 154 subjects enrolled in the United States and Israel.
The study confirmed the high safety profile of the Vibrant Capsule: no subject discontinued treatment due to adverse events and there was no device-related adverse event. Few subjects (in both arms) reported sensation of vibration in the abdomen, which were not associated with any discomfort or medical consequence for the subjects.
A majority of subjects showed improvement in their number of weekly spontaneous bowel movements and the study also showed that the Vibrant capsule effectively improves constipation-related symptoms.
